Phil Ivey has been labeled as the greatest poker competitor in the world by quite a few of the top pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and moved to New Jersey before his first birthday. Phil credits his success to discipline and a continuing love for the game of poker. Phil says that he is picking up skills every day and is very abashed about his success. Phil admits to making mistakes every single game of poker and constantly aspires to improve.

Even though Ivey has won some big-time tournaments, he likes winning cash games on a normal basis.
